UK Military

I believe that men or women should be allowed to join in the military in the UK if they choose to.
In the UK, you must be "16-33 years of age (officers 17-28) for voluntary military service (with parental consent under 18.)" In the UK, joining the military is 100% optional. I think this is a good thing, because a man could want or not want to be part of the military for various reasons, but if he does want to be part, the option is availabe for him. For example: a man might want to be part of the military becuase his country is in danger, he has no job, or would just like to serve his country.
Another reason is that women serve in military services, but are excluded from ground combat positions and some naval postings. This is also a nice hting to have, because it shows that women are no less than men, and if they would like, they can also join the military and make their country proud!
Lastly, you must be citizen of the UK, Commonwealth, or Republic of Ireland to be part of the military. This is also good, because if you are going to be part of the UK military, you should have some connection to the UK.
Personally, I wouldn't go to the military no matter what. I feel that the UK is a big, stong nation, and they can handle a war. Instead, I would like to finish my education, go to college, and then get a job. Also, I feel that people who go into the army are farther away from their family. For example: the family would be worried if their child if still alive.
